It is always a place that amazes our Spanish students, who really enjoy all the exhibitions, and of course the exterior sculptures as Mamá by Louise Bourgeois or Puppy by Jeff Koons.
Bilbao Fine Arts Museum:
A place that should not be underestimated, since it is one of the most important art galleries in Spain.
Ria de Bilbao Maritime Museum:
This cultural activity is a way to learn the history and seafaring activity of the Basques. Located in the old Euskalduna shipyards, students love to discover in it part of the history of our city.
Basque Museum of Bilbao:
With over 20,000 items, this museum teaches our students the various aspects of the life of the Basque people.
Archaeological Museum Bilbao:
This museum shows the history of Biscay from prehistory to the present day and through their artifacts, giving our students a complete picture of it.
Artistic Reproductions Museum of Bilbao:
To astonish our Spanish students with accurate reproductions of classic art like the Venus de Milo or the Moses of Michelangelo.
Theatres
Arriaga theatre:
A perfect plan for our students, is enjoying together a show that is also useful to practice their language skills.
Besides, it is a luxury to do so in one of the main theaters in Bilbao, which opened in 1890.
Visit to natural places
Artxanda:
Nothing better than enjoying a fantastic visit to the city, also discovering the funicular which leads us up to the Artxanda hill.
Boat trip on the river:
A cultural activity designed to enjoy the good weather and the city of Bilbao from a very particular perspective.
Gaztelugatxe:
A magical place according to all the students who have enjoyed this cultural activity. It is a small island connected to the mainland by a bridge of arches and whose top has a small chapel from the tenth century, dedicated to San Juan. The views and the magical place in which it is located, are always astonishing.
Visits nearby cities
Puente Colgante of Biscay:
Students are always amazed when they discover this special bridge. This architectural ironwork is a World Heritage Site. They also enjoy the incredible views of the two banks of the Nervion River and the famous port of Santurce.
Guernica:
Visiting the city of Biscay, which is famous for being the place where the General Assembly of Biscay used to gather, is another of the almost obligatory cultural activities. In addition, we also visit the Árbol de la Paz (Tree of The Peace) under which the lords of Biscay used to take oaths, the Assembly House and the Parque de los Pueblos de Europa (Park of the European Nations) with sculptures by Eduardo Chillida.
We also go on excursions to the cities such as San Sebastián, Vitoria, Santander, La Rioja...
Visit iconic buildings
Alhóndiga or Azkuna Zentroa:
Every student is speechless when visiting this innovative leisure and cultural center. A whole world of sensations in which we enjoy together temporary exhibitions, visits to the building itself, and even its shops and cafes.
Plaza de toros:
Thanks to this cultural activity, students can better understand the very Spanish custom of bullfighting. Experience the feeling of the bullfighter in the ring and find out more about this art in the bullfighting museum.
San Mamés Football Stadium:
Not only football fans enjoy visiting the new San Mames stadium or as commonly called, La Catedral. In addition, we also visit the museum and a wide range of rooms, from the trophy room to the locker room.
Walks through historic areas
Casco Viejo:
This is one of favorite cultural activities of our students, because it gives them the opportunity to know the essence of the city: the churches, the Cathedral, Plaza Nueva, the market of La Ribera, shops and bars...

Those who try come back for more! A cultural event that you can’t miss is this typical Spanish sweet. And to taste it to the fullest, there's nothing better than doing it with your mates while you all practice your Spanish.
Pintxos route:
“¡De pintxo en pintxo y sigo porque no me hincho!” they say: “Pintxo by pintxo, and I continue because I don't burst!”.
A cultural activity you can not miss, because if there’s something typical of Bilbao, it’s pintxos.
This way, our students enjoy the opportunity to talk in a relaxed manner with peers and teachers while enjoying these little delicacies, accompanied by a good wine or beer.
